Loxy's Health and Safety Policy around Covid-19
Hi Loxy's family,
We wanted to reach out with an update on our health and safety protocols around the introduction of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) into New Zealand. Please rest assured that we are monitoring and following advice from the Ministry of Health daily to ensure that our clients and staff are kept as safe as possible and to minimise spread of the virus. Please have a read through the information included below, and be sure to reach out to us if you have any further questions.
We pride ourselves on a high level of cleanliness and sanitation at Loxy's, but we are adding further measures as follows: - Thorough cleaning throughout the day Surfaces and work spaces will be disinfected with high grade cleaning products between each client. Reception surfaces (including phones, iPads and EFTPOS terminals), bathrooms, kitchen surfaces and work surfaces will all be receiving extra care. - Sterilization of tools and equipment As always, our tools and equipment are regularly cleaned and sanitized using high grade disinfectant and UV sterilizers. We are also increasing the frequency of such sterilization. - Hand Sanitizer will be available at multiple locations throughout the salon, at reception and in the bathrooms. We encourage you to take advantage of this as often as you would like throughout your service. - Incoming hair extension orders from overseas Any orders of hair extensions (or other haircare products) that we receive from overseas will be left unopened for a minimum of 10 days to ensure that they are free from the virus. Covid-19 has been shown to remain viable on surfaces for up to 3 days, so we will be preventing transmission by allowing additional time before opening/handling any orders. - Thorough team training and advice Our team is well informed on the situation surrounding Covid-19 and have been prepped on our increased hygiene standards. They have been instructed to clean and sanitize their hands between every client interaction. We have requested that if any staff member feels unwell, they stay at home and seek medical advice. - Where possible, clients will be seated at every other station in the salon, or spread out throughout the salon space. - For the time being, we will not be serving chocolate or giving out magazines.
In addition to our in-salon health and safety measures, we ask that you adhere to the following: Please DO NOT come to your appointment if the following applies to you: - You or someone you are in close contact with has returned from overseas (excluding the Pacific Islands) within the last 14 days - If you are feeling unwell, particularly with cold or flu-like symptoms, please get in touch with us to reschedule your appointment. We would be more than happy to accommodate this request and will waive cancellation fees.
